The LA team is energetic, enthusiastic and committed. We believe in offering young architects, technicians and designers the opportunity to develop their professional skills while working on a diverse range of challenging and interesting projects. We provide a friendly, collaborative and nurturing working environment in which none of us ever stops learning. While we don’t always have positions vacant, we are always interested in hearing from suitably-experienced candidates in the positions listed below. Working knowledge of ARCHICAD is a significant advantage.

  • Completing my Part 3 was a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m very grateful to LA London for the support, encouragement and experience I received throughout the year.

    Working at LA London gave me the opportunity to take genuine responsibility on complex projects and develop a much broader understanding of architectural practice beyond design. In particular, my experience as a Job Runner on a large-scale, high-value residential project gave me invaluable exposure to project delivery, procurement, contracts, coordination, construction, and working with clients and large consultant teams. Being trusted with this level of responsibility while completing my Part 3 allowed me to relate the academic requirements directly to the real-life situations I was experiencing in practice.

    The team at LA London were incredibly supportive throughout my studies, giving me the time and flexibility I needed while continuing to develop professionally. I was also fortunate to have colleagues who were willing to sacrifice a handful of their lunch breaks to share their knowledge, challenge my thinking and talk through the coursework scenarios. 

    I found Part 3 demanding at times (a lot of the time!), but having a practice environment that encouraged me to take ownership, ask questions, and learn from experience made a huge difference. The breadth of experience and responsibility I gained at LA London definitely gave me a strong foundation for the course.

    I’m incredibly grateful to LA London for supporting me through this stage of my career and for giving me the opportunities that helped me grow from a Part II Architectural Assistant into a qualified architect. It has been a challenging year juggling work and study, but I’m proud to have finally come out the other side!

We are always keen to hear from applicants with practical experience of ARCHICAD, especially in a Level 1 and Level 2 BIM environment, and are open to applications from anyone with plenty of top-end residential, retail and commercial architectural and interior design experience looking for a fresh challenge. We receive a large number of applications; as a consequence we will only consider applications that answer the following questions:
