Our commitments
Annual pay benchmarking
Formal appraisal and development planning
Professional fees covered for qualifications
Our practice is built on the quality, judgement and commitment of our people. We operate as a single, integrated team with shared responsibility for design quality, delivery and client experience.
We take a structured approach to development. All team members participate in regular appraisals, with clear objectives linked to progression, technical capability and project responsibility. We support professional qualifications and continuing development, with progression based on merit and contribution rather than tenure.
Remuneration is reviewed annually and benchmarked against recognised industry standards, including the RIBA’s London median, ensuring salaries remain fair, competitive and aligned with responsibility.
Workloads are actively managed at practice level to maintain appropriate resourcing. Overtime is monitored rather than assumed, with adjustments made through programme and team planning where required.
We aim to provide a working environment that supports both collaboration and accountability, with clear project structures and close involvement from senior leadership. Flexibility is accommodated where possible, alongside a shared commitment to consistent delivery standards.
Our culture is reviewed through regular feedback, including staff surveys, with outcomes informing ongoing improvements to working practices and support.
Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI)
Key actions
Annual diversity and inclusion surveys
Inclusive recruitment and retention practices
Pulse checks and measurable action plans
We are committed to maintaining a fair, inclusive and respectful working environment where individuals are supported to contribute and progress based on merit. This applies across recruitment, development, project involvement and day-to-day practice.
We take a structured approach to inclusion. Recruitment processes are designed to be open and consistent, progression is based on transparent criteria, and opportunities are allocated with the aim of supporting balanced experience across the team.
We regularly review our culture and practices through staff surveys and direct feedback, using the outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted actions. This includes monitoring representation, experience and engagement across the practice.
Our commitment to JEDI is ongoing and operational rather than declarative. We recognise that meaningful progress requires continuous review, accountability and a willingness to adapt where necessary.
Community & Industry Contribution
We contribute to the wider industry and community through the sharing of knowledge, professional support and active participation in relevant forums. This includes delivering CPDs, supporting emerging professionals and engaging with industry networks where appropriate.
Our approach is focused on practical contribution rather than visibility. We prioritise activities that provide clear value, whether through technical insight, mentoring or supporting the development of others within the profession.
Where opportunities arise, we also contribute to broader discussions around the built environment, particularly in areas where regulation, delivery and long-term performance intersect. This ensures our experience informs not only our own work, but the wider industry context in which we operate.
Client Collaboration Principles
We structure our projects to provide clarity, consistency and accountability from the outset. Roles, responsibilities and decision-making processes are defined early, enabling effective coordination across the wider consultant team and reducing risk as projects progress.
Our approach is based on transparent scopes of work, clearly defined deliverables and aligned expectations. We provide informed, objective advice throughout, ensuring that design intent, programme and cost considerations are managed in a coordinated and balanced way.
We maintain close involvement at senior level across all projects, supporting decision-making and maintaining standards through each stage. This continuity allows us to manage complexity effectively while safeguarding quality and client outcomes.
Collaboration is underpinned by professional rigour. We work within clearly defined contractual and governance frameworks, ensuring that all parties understand their responsibilities and that projects are delivered in a structured and controlled manner.
